Birth story - Nadia and baby Tobias

I stared having contractions at 3 am, about 6 min apart at first, which quickly ramped up to 2-3 min apart. I laboured until about 6 am at home, then got to hospital and got admitted straight to birthing suite. I used essential oils and the amazing Elle Tens machine to get me through, and breathing techniques.

At around 9 am the pain got quite bad, my midwifes wanted to check me, but sent me to toilet first... I told them I could feel something weird while sitting on toilet. One of them looked and screamed GLOVES!!!!!!

They got me onto bathroom floor with some towels, then somehow we got onto the bed where I leant over the headboard squatting. I had a few contractions where baby was moving down then coming back up. Then his head came out still in sac (membranes) with his hand beside his face - yikes. They told me to give small pushes and with a couple contractions he was out!! What a relief. He’s a happy boy and feeding well.
