I had downloaded the digital pack around 36 weeks and really benefitted from the videos, when on maternity leave I would walk for at least half an hour a day and listen to the MP3s.

The surges started at around 4:30am with mild cramps, I woke my husband up as I was excited, knowing I could be a bit keen! They continued 3 in 10mins for most of the morning, I showered, cleaned out my house rabbits and found leaning on the birthing ball on all 4s in the UFO position the most comfortable whilst using the up breathing technique.

Whilst laying on my side on the sofa I felt the pop- no waters to be seen but there was a show, from this point there were mooing noises and so my husband called the hospital. They advised coming in but said it was likely I could be sent home again as I was a FTM. The surges kept increasing on the drive in - a very wet day going through a town centre wasn’t the best route- but we had the MP3 on in the car.

When I arrived making quite a bit of noise, I was 8cm so they filled the pool and I continued the up breathing and arm stroking. I used the gas and air and my lovely baby boy was born within 2 hours. An overwhelming experience but wonderful- just a bit quicker than I first anticipated- we never got to eat our nice snacks or spritz the room spray until we got home!
